Psalm 107 (This is a fav Encouraging Word!)

Some of the redeemed had wandered into the desert, into the wasteland.
They couldn’t find their way to a city or town.
They were hungry and thirsty;
their lives were slipping away.
So they cried out to the Lord in their distress,
and God delivered them from their desperate circumstances.
God led them straight to human habitation.
Let them thank the Lord for his faithful love
and his wondrous works for all people,
because God satisfied the one who was parched with thirst,
and he filled up the hungry with good things!
-Psalm 107:4-9

Recently, I had the privilege of taking my daughter and three of her high school friends on a college road trip. We visited a small Christian university that is 14 hours away. Yep… four teenage girls & fourteen hours in the same car. Well, the visit was great and we all enjoyed the campus and have a much better understanding of that institutions educational offerings. Since the college kept the girls very busy, they slept almost all the way back to Western New York. Since I was the only person in the car with a valid operators license, I drove all the way back by myself and that was a grueling fourteen hour exercise. By the 10 hour mark, fatigue set in and I started counting down the hours, minutes and miles until I would finally arrive at my home. By the 12 hour mark, I was hungry and thirsty and couldn’t wait to embrace my wonderful wife the moment I busted through the door of my house. I could almost hear her lovely voice welcoming us back and that helped keep me awake and aware of the road I had left to travel. Psalm 107 tells a similar story. The redeemed, the Believers in God, found themselves a seemingly never ending journey without a home, wandering in a dry and arid desert. They knew God so they cried out to Him. AND GOD quenched their thirst, filled their bellies and led them to a new home! I know that many of you have been on a very, very long journey and are thirsty for change and hungry for stability. I know that many of you have been wandering in your own desert and simply want to go home and find safety, security and rest. Cry out to God. He will hear you and He will deliver your soul to a new home.

Message me with your story or even a prayer request and I will help drive you to the place of rest.
